LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF...

First thing's first, welcome and thank you for clicking onto this blog!

I am an NQT (Newly Qualified Teacher) from Worcestershire, United Kingdom and I am entering my first teaching post this September! I am extremely excited and cannot wait to get stuck into the job I have been working towards for the past 5 years! As well as my passion for teaching, I absolutely adore all things fashion and beauty. I spend a good amount of my free time shopping and if I'm not physically buying things, I'm reading fashion blogs and magazines for inspiration.

Now for the reasoning behind starting this blog... Whilst I was training at university, I found it sooo hard to know what to wear during my placements, in order to be appropriate for school but incorporate my own style. As a teacher, it can be difficult finding the perfect pieces for your work wardrobe (there are a lot of boxes to tick), the outfits must be comfortable and practical as teaching can mean long days and lots of moving about! However, in my opinion, the outfits also need to be fashionable! I never wanted to sacrifice my personal style for the sake of traditional black and white work clothes. Finally (for almost everyone) workwear needs to be affordable, especially for teachers who don't earn the most money in the world!

So this is what has inspired me to start this blog, which will hopefully help other people in a similar career or generally anybody struggling for workwear inspiration! I will be putting together my own work wardrobe over the summer, ready for the blog to launch in September.

Have you ever found it difficult to gather pieces for your work wardrobe? What are your favourite workwear staples? Let me know in the comments!
